TB Skin Test

  • for school, work, volunteer positions or medical reasons

  • 1 STEP - requires 2 visits 48-72 hrs apart.  The test is administered at the first visit and read on the second to determine if it is negative or positive.

  • 2 STEP - requires 4 visits - the process for 1 STEP has to be completed twice at least a week apart.

  • NOT covered by OHIP if required for work or volunteer positions  (1-step - $100; 2-step $150 - covers the cost of the Tubersol, the injections, reading the tests, and providing documentation)
